Zero waste

The missing link to zero waste.

A processing technology that does not generate waste. With regard to waste processing, this is a technology that does not produce new or even more hazardous waste, but generates a new raw material from the input which can replace primary raw materials in industrial processes. It can also be used to produce new products, or existing products with properties that have so far been difficult to achieve.

The problem

Zero waste – that is what we are working on.

Waste is threatening our environment, our lives and our economic systems, worldwide and in the long term. Almost 3 billion tonnes of waste were produced in the EU in 2006 alone. The worst part of the problem: hazardous waste such as heavy metals, oils and oily residues, sewage and industrial sludge, landfill leachate …

Zero Waste

Disposal solutions cannot succeed, because “disposal” merely means:

Exporting

only relocates the problem

Incineration

agglomerates the toxins

Landfilling

creates toxic time bombs

All three methods are expensive, unproductive and risky, and are increasingly being rejected by the public.

Utilisation is undoubtedly more sensible than disposal. However, the utilisation methods available so far only work well if the waste is sorted as homogeneously as possible; they are expensive and energy-intensive and require a high level of technical effort.

This is where our approach takes effect. With the declared objective of “zero waste”:

  • Utilising waste without creating any new harmful substances
  • Combining ecological and economic benefits
  • Stable, safe processes without a high level of technical effort

ECOCYCLING shows how it is done.

Our stance

Our self-understanding

The zero waste principle

We develop technology that allows the user to produce an industrially usable product from mixed waste. At the same time, this technology is not to produce any dangerous by-products and thus realises a zero waste technique. It is cost-effective and efficient compared to existing technologies, can be deployed anywhere in the world and is designed so that the necessary personnel to operate it is available worldwide.

Interplay of technologies – pyrolysis

Alongside the ECOCYCLING process, pyrolysis is available as a complementary technology for recycling special residual waste such as tyres.
